About Us

D&H Helping Hands Foundation is a Kansas City-area 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship by addressing barriers to housing stability, healthcare access, and overall well-being. Based in the region and serving residents throughout Jackson County and Cass County, Missouri,

we provide direct assistance and supportive services that help people achieve greater stability, health, and self-sufficiency.

Our organization offers rental assistance, utility support, housing stabilization services, healthcare-related assistance, transportation support for medical appointments, benefits navigation, and connections to essential community resources. We are especially committed to supporting veterans, low-income families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and other underserved populations facing challenges that threaten their housing, health, or financial security.

At D&H Helping Hands Foundation, we recognize that stable housing, access to healthcare, reliable transportation, and community support are critical

social determinants of health. We work to remove barriers that prevent individuals and families from accessing the care, services, and resources they need to live healthy, productive lives.

As a growing nonprofit, we are actively building partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholders to expand access to supportive services and improve health outcomes throughout our community. Through compassion, collaboration, and advocacy, we strive

to create stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities where every

person has the opportunity to thrive.
